a quick weekend getaway. a quick weekend getaway.
I did not have enough time to cry at the art galle I did not have enough time to cry at the art gallery. I am socially maxed out and when I am I become very prickly and breakdown and cry and crave for solitude. But I can never say no because when I love I give people my time and leave none for myself. I want to be someone with firm boundaries. Someone who can say, actually, I just want to be left alone. I'm just a cheeky girl. Silly me did not take photos of the paintings that moved me.
i was walking home after watching a movie at an ou i was walking home after watching a movie at an outdoor cinema when i passed by this house on beach avenue. i stayed rooted to the spot, transfixed by this well-lit house filled with art. i don't know what kind of lives the people in that house had but i wanted it. the house, at least. on another night i took my friends to the same spot. was i the only one who felt the kind of longing for that home? no, they found it magnetic too. so we stood there and stared as i let out a sigh and a wishful thought. 🏡🌃

hello, i'm just trying to make sense of my life ri hello, i'm just trying to make sense of my life right now and relearning that life isn't linear, and hoping i grow into a better version of me but not in the capitalist sense, but like a higher self kind of way. Here's a few things that kept me afloat this month: -raindrops on flowers in the morning when you get home from a night out with friends -the view from inside a paused car, in the company of delightful people -staring at pouring rain at 3 am while you wait with your friends for an uber -staring into the night sky and accepting whatever comes -the comforting sensation of dipping your feet into salt water -a patch of flowers on a random street while on a walk with a friend -the morning sunlight through my bedroom window -laughter that echoes outside the ramen shop where you've been waiting in line for hours -passing by a house filled with art while going home late at night
as an introvert, a woman, and a witch, I'm current as an introvert, a woman, and a witch, I'm currently overwhelmed by too much outside interaction, pms-ing, and dealing with the nearing full moon so i'm just gonna be a feral, erratic creature locking herself up in her room over the weekend. is it quiet time? is it witching hour? idk. 🤷🏻‍♀️
snippets of my life when I visited my hometown. My snippets of my life when I visited my hometown. My mom cooked me all my favourite dishes and took me to all the places I wanted and needed to see. On a full moon, we went out of our house to look at the moon and I walked her dog. Most days I would run errands with her, bathe the dog, drop our laundry off, visit my dad, and some night my friends would pick me up and we'd hang out all night. I found some peace in those 5 weeks 🇵🇭

Yesterday I biked with my friend and our hometown Yesterday I biked with my friend and our hometown friends but before that we walked across the bridge, ate chicken wings while walking and venting. Then enjoyed the views and conversations. It was a really lovely day.
I like to imagine a scenario where somewhere in a I like to imagine a scenario where somewhere in a post office, a sorter or maybe even the mailman looks at these cards and thinks “wow how lucky she is to have someone who makes an effort to write her warm, loving words of encouragement.” And when I think about that I feel like life isn’t so bad. #postcards #snailmail
I'm back from my 5 week "vacation." Well, I've bee I'm back from my 5 week "vacation." Well, I've been back for almost two weeks now but dealing with jetlag and a cold. The very night I arrived, I vacuumed my room a bit. And the next day I unpacked my luggage. I didn't want to put my clothes in the laundry yet because I wanted to relish the scent of laundry shop detergent and hotel rooms. A way to inhabit and remember the memory of my trip. Maybe this is why they say people who unpack right after a trip are psychos... We need time to process and "debrief" and unpacking right away kind of cuts that time for reflection. Anyway, that's just my theory. 🤷🏻‍♀️
